Kyle English serves as the Music Director for the Church of the Immaculate Conception. A lifelong Catholic musician, Kyle grew up as an altar server and began cantor ministry in high school—foundations that shaped his deep commitment to liturgy, community, and parish life.

Kyle holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. His early career included teaching and directing music programs throughout the D.C., Virginia, and Maryland region, serving as Director of Band, Choir, and Music Ministry at St. Louis Catholic School in Alexandria, VA, and as Musical Theatre Director at Catholic University.

A vocalist, pianist, conductor, and liturgical composer/arranger, Kyle has performed across the East Coast and internationally, including appearances at The Kennedy Centre, NJPAC, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the Rudolfinum’s DvoÅ™ák Hall in Prague, and the Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest. He has also had the rare honour of performing for both Pope Benedict XVI (2008) and Pope Francis (2015) during their visits to the United States.

In his ministry today, Kyle directs the musical life at IC—leading choirs, coordinating Sunday and holy day liturgies, mentoring young musicians, and composing/arranging much of the music heard throughout our Tri-Parish community worship services. He also oversees the Tri-Parish livestream ministry, ensuring that parishioners near and far can join the community in prayer each week. In addition, Kyle helps manage the Tri-Parish website and social media presence, supporting communication and connection across the wider parish family.

Beyond parish ministry, Kyle is the President of the Board and Camp Director of the Eastern U.S. Music Camp at Colgate University, where he helps shape summer musical experiences for young musicians from across the country. Having lived and performed up and down the East Coast, Kyle brings to his work a rich blend of experience, creativity, and a heartfelt dedication to helping people encounter God through music.
