Prayer for the Unborn

Living and Loving God, 

All life originates from you and is oriented to eternal union with you.  We thank you for each breath and heartbeat that sustains us.   

We ask for your help and healing in a nation and state that tragically diminishes the sacredness and dignity of every human life by promoting untimely death, especially among the most vulnerable in the womb.   

We pray for their continued protection through legal means, and prayers for the conversion of hearts and minds of those actively or passively acting in any way contrary to life.   

We pray for the souls of any child who died in the womb, as well as those who may have consented to their death.   

We pray for healing for any woman or man dealing with the pain and scars of abortion, for repentance and reconciliation.   

We pray for the end of abortion, and the increase of respect for every soul and our recognition of our shared gift of humanity to be protected, preserved, and promoted at all stages of life. 

We ask this as we ask for all that is good, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
